Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand in Mine

Little known Austin, Texas band.  Explosions in the Sky are an instrumental post-rock band.  Their songs are styled after narratives, meaning that each song attempts to tell a story, or at least give you the feeling that you've been in one.  It's very cathartic.

If it sounds familiar, that's because it probably is.  Explosions in the Sky is most famously known for doing the original soundtrack for the Friday Night Lights movie (the one with Billy Bob, not the TV show).

The Black Keys - Set You Free

I don't care if everyone knows about this band.  I'm posting about them, because they fucking rock.  Straight up 6 string, saw style guitar, blues rock.  There is something very timeless about this style of rock.

Arctic Monkeys - Crying Lightning

Currently one of my favorite bands.  These guys are at the forefront of English Alternative Rock at the moment.  Though they've been criticized for their "overuse" of dynamic range compression, I don't really give a fuck.  These guys are in a word: awesome.
